I am lookigng for a Digital National Asset Register Project Manager for a Central Government client based in London.

This is a 4 month role. 

The primary task for the post is to project manage the Digital National Asset Register (DNAR). The DNAR will be web enabled and depict government properties on a map along-with key information on those properties. It will have the ability to remain updated through live links to the property databases of all major public bodies. It will therefore act as the most comprehensive source of UK government assets maintaining UK’s position at the forefront of international best practice in public sector asset management.

Key tasks and deliverables:
To develop project initiation document (PID) for a large digital asset register. This document will bring together all aspects of the project such as clear project objectives, details of in-scope bodies, project plan (including milestones and break down into activities), stakeholders and people, dependencies and plan to deal with them (such as communications aligned with other data and property initiatives), financial plan (that includes future procurement requirements - with an indicative budget) and data required (along-with link to objectives).
Management of delivery of the project against milestones/ targets identified in the PID and highlighting and managing deviations supported by a junior member of the staff.
Act as the main point of contact to stakeholders with end to end knowledge of the project progress and issues.
Anticipate requirements and align the effort of the functional experts such as in data and finance to move towards the project goal, highlighting deficiencies and escalating issues to the board as required.
Developing measures of success for each part of the project and ensuring that all parts are aligned to each other.

Excellent written communication and stakeholder management skills are essential. The postholder may also have qualifications in project management, such as PRINCE2 or equivalent.
