A major N.H.S Client of ours is currently looking for a Digital Costing Analyst to join their team on a contract basis for around 3 to 4 months.
Our Client provides access to its guidance and ‘evidence’ material via a number of online and mobile services. We present information through a range of products including Guidance, Pathways, and bulletins - and many other specialist services. We syndicate our content to external providers for dissemination via third party channels including apps and decision support tools.
Our Client requires requires a specialist Digital Costing Analyst to support this programme of work at two levels:
1. the resource will refine the benefits analysis associated with the new External Consultation module and put in place a benefit tracking process for this component of our digital transformation programme.
The key deliverables specifically for the External Consultation project:
a) Select an appropriate business process modelling and simulation tool to support the more complex areas of process transformation and benefits identification.
b) Undertake process mapping and time & motion studies on the manual activity undertaken by staff to run external consultations on producing NICE Guidance.
c) Create a suite of NICE business process models/maps within the simulation tool identifying bottlenecks, low-value manual activities, duplication etc.
d) Map benefits associated with this project and produce a high level benefits realisation plan which can be used by the Digital Services team to track project benefits going forward.
e) Widely across the whole Transforming Guidance roadmap:
f) Using External Consultation as a test bed, support the review of NICE’s agile development processes and reporting tools to incorporate more formal benefit tracking mechanisms.
The skills and experience required are:
A. Have experience of sitting with users to map 'as is' activities and processes including linked relationships, timings, associated staff and other costs
B. Have experience of identifying where and how processes/activities can be transformed and/or automated to create business efficiencies such as saving cost and increasing productivity
C. Creating diagrams and process maps to articulate processes and activities
D. Experience of identifying bottlenecks, delays, manual overhead and the root causes of why activities/processes are not as efficient and lean as they could be
E. Experience of considering the 'big picture' across multiple processes and activities and identifying what can be standardised, consolidated, removed etc
F. Experience of collaborating with stakeholders at all levels to identify strategic goals and outcomes
G. Experience of collaborating with stakeholders at all levels to map benefits and build business cases
H. Experience of drafting business cases in an agile environment including cost-based analysis and options of doing/not doing
I. Experience of implementing identified improvements working iteratively and collaboratively with stakeholders and in defining acceptance tests.
J. Experience of mapping impacts and benefits and identifying specific measures and mechanisms by which benefits can be measured, and plans to activate these mechanisms at the required time.
K. Ability to use a value/outcomes-based focus in their work
