I am looking for a  Desktop Support Officer for a Public Sector client based in Covent Garden - London. 

This is a 3 month contract initially and is Inside IR35

This role is paying between £100 - £150 a day 

The post holder will play an important role in ensuring that the IT Support and Service Team provides strategic, routine and emergency support to users. This will be in line with documented service standards.
In addition to user support, the IT Support Officer will manage all aspects of Microsoft cloud services including:
•O365 mail adds, moves and changes of email, assigning share mailboxes including permissions and problem solving issues
•Managing, assigning and reporting on mobile devices via MS InTune
•Managing Azure AD including adds, moves and changes; group assignments; managing user groups

The post holder will be responsible for:

•Provide frontline IT helpdesk support, for either location, remotely or at the physical location
•Resolving user incidents, service requests and problems
•Infrastructure and systems incidents and problems, calling on external support as required, eg software or hardware manufacturers
•Set up new user accounts and archive old user accounts in accordance with local policy and maintain Active Directory records appropriately
•Monitor and resolve logged issues with the local servers and wider services not directly supported
•Carrying out routine proactive tasks to ensure availability of systems
•Acting on issues highlighted through regular reports produced and take proactive action where needed
•Undertake general troubleshooting and investigative work with network and wireless connectivity
•Follow and contribute to standard processes and local team policies

Essential Experience:
Experience of working in an IT service delivery environment
Extensive 2nd line experience
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting Windows Active Directory
Experience supporting Windows 10 in a networked environment
Experience setting up new workstations, laptops, tablets and phones
Experience implementing starters, leavers and job change requests
Experience in O365 and Cloud based services
