About the role

You will join the Community Learning Disability Service, which is a newly established, forward thinking integrated team. The Learning Disability Services has been rated Outstanding by CQC. The team works closely with residents, carers and Independent Providers to provide a person centred service to adults with Learning Disabilities.

As the Deputy Team Manager, you will support the Team Manager in securing the continuous development, improvement, efficiency and success of the Team as a whole.  You will work alongside, and support, the Team Manager in providing specialist advice, guidance, support and supervision to a range of qualified and non qualified staff working in Adult Social Care and Transitions.  You will be directly responsible for supervising a group of staff within your specific team and dealing with day to day quality assurance, customer care and performance issues reporting to the Team Manager only when required.  You will also chair specialist meetings such as Safeguarding Strategy Meetings and be responsible for the implementation of Safeguarding Plans. You may carry a small complex caseload as agreed with the Team Manager.

This role can also offer flexible working patterns and WFH arrangements.

The role would suit a Social Work England registered candidate with experience of supervising and leading Adults Social Work teams. Desirable qualifications are Practice Educator, BIA or AMHP. Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities is also essential.
