The chance has arose to work for a high end car dealership based in West Essex.

Job Description

• To identify areas of risk within area of responsibility and for developing and maintaining effective controls to reduce risk of fraud occurring.
• Contribute to the development of business strategy and appropriate business plans, in consultation with appropriate parties.
• Produce weekly profit forecasts, month and year end accounts and assist with preparation of budgets.
• Manage payroll, including the reconciliation of commission and bonus payments.
• Submission of accurate and timely VAT and Inland Revenue returns.
• Participate in site forecasting and planning.
• Assist in the provision of strong working capital controls.
• Maintain all administration processes for the site to ensure all debtors, creditors and stock are properly controlled.
• Produce ad hoc management information as required to support management decision making.
• Maintain fixed asset register.
• Operate finance and administration activity and headcount within agreed budgets.
• Update and improve product knowledge and competitor awareness in order to increase opportunity for sales.
• Ensure that within your area of operation all regulations and standards with regards to Financial Services Act are adhered to.
• Review and help ensure that local and Trade Associations policies, procedures and minimum standards are met and that all statutory requirements including trading standards, data protection, vehicle and consumer legislation, fire, health and safety etc. are adhered to.
• Undertake any other duties as reasonably required to ensure the successful operation of the market area (these may include responsibility for Procurement, Facilities and Systems)


The Ideal Candidate Must Have

• People management particularly in terms of achievement through teams.
• Planning and organisational skills.
• Experience in financial and management accounting.
• Continued professional development and a knowledge of current accounting regulations and requirements.
• Basic VAT and tax knowledge.
