The Oxford City Council Customer Services Applications Team is seeking a computer-literate, enthusiastic and organized individual to take on the role of Customer Services Applications Officer on a temporary to potentially fixed-term basis.
Experience the following would be of significant advantage;
• Data entry
• Working within a procedure-based environment
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Ability to quickly learn how to use new software packages
• An understanding of any of the following Council services; Building Control, Land Charges, HMO, Housing, Right to Buy, Street Naming and Numbering, Planning, Taxi Licensing
• AND Customer service
Due to the nature of the training required for the role, this position would suit a candidate who is interested in learning new skills to allow a suitable candidate to consider taking on the role on a fixed-term basis.
Although initially based at our offices in St Aldates Chambers, this role has the potential for partial remote working following training.
Candidate will require access to the internet for the recruitment process and, if successful, onboarding training.
This role is initially temporary for three months with the potential to go fixed term. The rate is £10.05 per hour
