I am recruiting for my client based in Avonmouth, North Bristol for a Technical Sales assistant. 

An opportunity has opened within our Technical Team. Due to the expansion of our Technical Department we are looking to fill the permanent position of Technical Sale Assistant Technician in our Avonmouth Office.

Selling electrical heating, ventilation, data and testing equipment products to the wholesale trade. We are looking for an enthusiastic applicant who is comfortable working in a fast paced dynamic/environment.

Working under the Technical Manager the successful applicant will be responsible for supplying technical support on the heating, ventilation and data products supplied by the business.

Duties will include:

• Taking incoming calls and dealing with customers' technical questions.
• Taking technical sales calls from our customer base, advising the most suitable product for the application.
• Responding to customer email enquiries.
• Advise customers about the beneficial features of our product range.
• Trouble shooting possible product faults/Installation issues.
• Calculating product specification.

All knowledge needed would be provided by our in house and external training. The applicant should have excellent telephone and people skills as the majority of our work is via the phone.

A good 'hands-on' technical ability is required so the ideal candidate can rapidly
understand the Products we sell.

Good qualifications in Maths and Science are essential.

A technical aptitude to understand plan drawings etc. would be preferred. The applicant should be computer literate – Windows, Office, Word, Excel, Outlook etc.

You should have a good sense of humour and be able to work well under pressure. You will be working as part of an expanding team, learning other office duties, to help in other roles when required.
