I am currently recruiting for a very reputable organisation based in the heart of Colchester town
My client is looking for a Customer service advisor on a fixed term contract basis for a period of 6 months initially. This is a genuine opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a busy well established organisation

You will be required to do the following tasks:
• Deliver a professional service to all customers
• Keep customer records up to date and accurate
• Communicate with customers regularly advising of any updates
• Undertake general administrative tasks for the office
• Respond to customer queries in the agreed timescales and ensure all parties are updated
• Ensure that all customers have a seamless experience when dealing with their enquiry
• Provide a professional, friendly customer focused front line service to our customer enquiries via telephone, visits, email and other communication routes, dealing with issues such as rent accounts, tenancy enquiries, complaints, repairs and transfer/waiting list enquiries, in accordance with agreed policies and procedures.
• Provide the best possible customer experience – keeping the customer advised of progress.
• Provide a welcoming and efficient reception service for our Customers.
• Process rent and other payments ensuring receipts are issued and pre-determined security arrangements adhered to
• Provide advice on housing management queries such as rent accounts, tenancy termination, anti-social behaviour, mutual exchanges and other breaches of tenancy conditions
• Provide advice to residents on how to report repairs through our contractors, and issue maintenance requests, repair orders and inspections as and when requested and liaise with customers on any outstanding issues to ensure a satisfactory resolution. To manage the reporting of defects on new developments through to the developers
• Ensure that OOH’s and Centra are kept up to date on lead contacts and new schemes and liaise with these agencies to ensure that cover is arranged during any office closures
• Undertake our customer satisfaction surveys and new tenant questionnaires and collating this data to enable effective reporting on customer feedback in relation to our services
• Support the Neighbourhood Coordinator with producing tenancy/viewing packs, the printing and sending of tenancy agreements as requested
• Support the Neighbourhood coordinator with scanning and filing as required
• Manage the purchasing of items on behalf of the organisation and work closely with finance to ensure these are compliant with our financial procedures and processes
• Manage and distribute the post daily
• Ensure the reception area is kept neat and tidy

The successful candidate will have:
•A professional telephone manner and happy to be the first point of contact to all customers
•The ability to respond to customers via telephone, email and face to face on occasion
•Experience of updating accurate customer data onto an in-house system

•The ability to listen, understand and deal with a variety of enquiries
•The ability to work on their own initiative
•Experience of working to deadlines and service level agreements
