General description
To ensure that all in bound and out bound calls and enquiries are dealt with quickly and efficiently. That the relevant excel spreadsheet is updated and any letters sent.
Core duties and responsibilities
• Ensure that all calls to the Team are dealt with empathetically, quickly, efficiently and within the agreed time limits.
• Ensure that all customers receive the best customer service.
• Liaise with colleagues and other departments in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure written responses are provided to customers
• Updating the systems with relevant call details and remembering to include contact telephone numbers, email addresses and new contact addresses.
• Ensure the excel spreadsheet is updated and monitored daily.
• Preparing and sending letters

Person Specification

• Excellent customer service skills
• Able to work under pressure
• Ability to use own initiative

Knowledge and skills: essential

• IT literate – proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access
• Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and listening
• Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills
• Able to work on own initiative and within a team environment.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Customer service experience
• Attention to detail

Knowledge and skills: desirable

• Experience of using databases
• Understanding of the Customer Services function
• Customer service experience
