WE ARE LOOKING FOR FIVE PERMANENT CUSTOMER CLAIMS HANDLERS TO START IMMEDIATELY

REED are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading International insurance company who have recently moved into the centre of Bristol.

A fantastic opportunity presents itself for a number of Claims Call Handlers. You will be dealing with incoming calls from client relating to both ongoing or new travel insurance claim applications. These calls will generally involve the first notification of the claim from the customer, calls from brokers and on occasion you will be tasked with dealing with complaints escalating where necessary.


The main duties are:

• To deal with all telephone calls in a customer-focused way
• Take customer details and input correctly ensuring the correct claims form is sent within 24 hours of notification
• To record and update customer information accurately
• To communicate clearly, accurately and effectively with internal and external customers
• To ensure that all regulatory guidelines are adhered to
• To adhere to the company’s procedure in accordance with the FCA guidelines and TCF (treating customers fairly)
• To be compliant with the Data Protection Act 1998
• To support managers to manage the key risks within your department
• To ensure that you conduct your role in accordance with AFC policy (to act honestly and with integrity) and to report any suspected incidents of fraud and corruption
• To adhere to all company policies and procedures
• To undertake any other duty or responsibility that may be allocated by your manager


As the ideal candidate you will:

• Be customer focused
• Be committed
• Be able to solve problems quickly and efficiently
• Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Have the ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative.
• Have good planning and organisation skills in order to meet deadline.
• Have good geographical knowledge

This is a full time role covering 37.5 hours per week between 7.30am - 10pm Monday - Friday, a 5% uplift will be given for hours worked after 8pm.

You will also be required to work 2 in 4 weekends, time will be given back in leiu in the same week so you will always be working 37.5 hours per week.
