Reed Accountancy are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic credit controller to join our busy client in Folkestone.

Reporting to both the Financial Controller and Operations Director,
the successful candidate will have full responsibility for all credit control activities Including:

● Chasing all outstanding monies by phone, email and written correspondence
● Allocating incoming payments to customers accounts and transactions
● Assessing the credit risk of customers and applying for credit insurance where applicable
● Set, monitor and maintain credit limits for new and existing customers
● Raising invoices and credit notes
● Apply early settlement discounts where applicable
● Set up repayment plans and work with outside collection agencies
● Resolving customer queries including invoice disputes by liaising with other departments
● Reconciling customer accounts
● Reporting accurate collection information to Management for cash flow management and forecasting

When chasing the debt the client prefers a relationship based approach, building up rapport and getting the customer on side and therefore it is essential that the Credit Controller builds and maintains strong working relationships with customers, but also
internally with staff.




This is a key role within a small team and as such it is important that you will be a strong team player, with a positive and
enthusiastic outlook who is flexible to respond quickly to changing needs and priorities.

The successful candidate will:
● Already have a great track record in the control and maintenance of a credit control system
● Have an in depth knowledge of the credit control process
● Have excellent communication skills
● Be a confident, approachable individual who can work both independently and as part of a small team
● Have a strong work ethic, positive attitude and a desire to achieve results
● Have a good understanding of MS office applications
● Be confident in exporting and manipulating data for reporting and analysis
● Experience of using Sage 200 would be advantageous but not essential
● Experience of using Credit Hound would be advantageous but not essential

Hours: 8.30-17.00 - Mon-Fri (some flexibility with regards to start and finish time is possible)

Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 depending upon experience
