I'm presently recruiting an excellent opportunity for a commercial sales person to join a growing promotional gift & office stationery business based in Northamptonshire. There's a serious amount of scope with the role with a clear progression path to potential MD within the next few years for the right candidate! On top of that there's a competitive basic salary on offer + uncapped commission (£50k-60k OTE).
The role will focus on selling their promotional merchandise, personalised gifts & branded office stationery on a B2B basis. There's certainly a new business focus - you'll be expected to get stuck in to source your own leads & look to convert those into new customers. You'll do this through a mixture of cold calling, social selling (Linkedin predominantly), eshots/marketing campaigns & client meetings. There will also be an account management element to this role too however. They have between 350-400 accounts in total, which range from active to lapsed, you'll manage the relationships with the active accounts whilst looking for any cross or up-selling opportunities & you'll look to re-ignite the lapsed accounts into returning customers.
You'll be based from the office in Northampton for 3 days/week initially with the other couple of days being home/field based. This could reduce down to 2 days/week in the office once you're up & running.
I'm looking for a Corporate Sales Manager with a proven sales track record (particularly within new business development) and plenty of energy, enthusiasm & fresh ideas to contribute to the growth of the business. You'll ideally have worked within the promotional giftware/branded office products industry, however if you have a strong B2B sales track record in selling a product rather than a service, I'd be keen to speak with you.
