Role Overview:
This role is dedicated to supporting the commercial contract management of the Business Support Services (Business Process Outsourcing) contract and Occupational Health contract, ensuring effective stakeholder management and governance is in place together with performance management frameworks, risk management, issues resolution, financial management, change control and overall contract and statutory compliance.
This role is an integral part of a new Intelligent Client Function (ICF) providing essential support for commercial leads within the business. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Contributing to the management and administration of the whole supply chain portfolio, including the implementation of supply chain management and supplier relationship strategies
- Supporting the effective commercial contract management of high value, high profile, strategic contracts
- Manage one or more contracts/suppliers, ensuring effective stakeholder management, governance, performance management frameworks, escalation, risk management, issues resolution, financial management, change control and compliance
- Develop and maintain positive commercial relationships with the supply chain to maintain and enhance performance, improve service delivery and create additional value
- Support the administration of change control notices, data/spend analysis, management information and reporting
Essential Criteria:
- Commercially astute
- Have an understanding of Contract Law and experience/knowledge of managing service agreements/contracts/frameworks
- Track record and understanding of contract management processes and performance management regimes
- Experience of negotiating and managing contracts, engaging with lawyers and other advisors as required
- Experience of supplier management and commercial delivery
- Experience of supporting the development and implementation of contract management plans
- Have a good understanding of procurement including Public Contract Regulations and standard sourcing methodologies
- Generates effective solutions to problems, resolving queries and complaints
- Politically astute with an ability to develop networks both within the organisation
- Working knowledge of purchasing processes (Purchase – to – Pay)
- Experience of dealing with demand challenges in a complex operational environment
