Consultant in Public Health – South East London
Reed are currently recruiting a Public Health Consultant for a client in South East London. You must have previous experience within the same field or similar.
Purpose of the job
The London Boroughs Public Health team requires a Consultant to support the Director of Public Health in developing an ambitious and far-reaching programme of work. This temporary role will focus on the development and operationalisation of the Covid-19 Local Outbreak Control Plan.
The post holder will provide senior Public Health leadership and expertise on the following key areas: Public Health Intelligence, Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA), several core Public Health services (substance misuse, sexual health, stop smoking, and infection control/ delegated health protection assurance) and Commissioning Support to the CCG. The overall purpose of making the best use of available resources to maintain and improve the public’s health and to provide expert advice on all health matters.
Some of the principal accountabilities
You will have responsibility for the development, implementation and delivery of national, regional and local policies, developing inter-agency and interdisciplinary strategic plans and programmes, with delegated Board or organisational authority to deliver key public health targets.
To lead as required by the Director of Public Health on the communication, dissemination and implementation and delivery of national, regional and local policies, developing inter-agency and interdisciplinary strategic plans and programmes, with delegated Board or organisational authority to deliver key public health targets.
To act in an expert advisory capacity on public health knowledge, standards and practice across the spectrum of public health.
You must be Social Work England registered and have a minimum of 2 years post qualified experience.
