Planner/Analyst – Bedford

Reporting to the Planning & Performance Manager. The purpose of the role is to assist the Planning and Performance Manager in the development and compliance of performance, quality assurance and communications across the Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC) Contract.

Responsibilities:
Validate and submit performance data to clients and internal teams on weekly/monthly basis.
Development of monitoring tools to support delivery teams and achieve compliance.
Produce client performance reports within required timescales.
Use data mining and analysis skills to run and analyse data reports from the various systems.
Support the Planning and Performance Manager in undertaking improvement workshops and produce processes where required.
Undertake internal audits on a regular basis to confirm compliance to contractual requirements.
Manage and update Internal Audit compliance tracker for CBC.
Manage Business Improvement actions to close out within time scales.
Business Management System Champion for designated office.
Attend internal and external performance meetings.
Execute the Contract Communications Plan.
Promote a safe working environment.
Ensure data collected is accurate and error free.
Ensure all related key performance indicators and contractual requirements are met.
Delivery of contract and corporate objectives.
To follow the RJMS systems processes.
Raise Near misses and Corrective actions throughout CBC Contract.
Promote CSR activities.



Knowledge, skills and experience:
Possess competent IT skills including the ability to adapt to various software and hardware.
Required: Excel to an intermediate/expert level, excellent working knowledge of word, experience of using project planning tools.
Beneficial but not essential: SQL data mining, excel macro experience, sharepoint.
Background in analytical/ statistical disciplines.
Excellent report writing skills.
Strong presentation of data skills.
Experience in internal communications.
Ability to understand complex processes and write up into simple written procedures.
Ability to manage time and workloads to a defined schedule and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Ability to continually develop professional knowledge, skills and behaviours.
Ability to communicate effectively within all mediums and influence decisions.
Ability to coordinate and collaborate with other team members.
Ability to show continual improvement in the role and to the wider organisation.
