I am working with a brilliant Secondary School based in the Wigan/Greater Manchester area. The school teaches boys and girls aged 11-16, who come from a variety of backgrounds, and the school is known throughout the area as a good school, with an ethos on building self-esteem and mutual respect. 

This great school is looking for a Teacher of Computer Science to join them on a full-time basis for a long-term supply cover.

This role would allow you to be deeply involved in the ICT & Computer Science department, with the successful teacher being responsible for the continued development of the History curriculum, schemes of work, resources and lesson plans as well as the close monitoring of pupil progression and a consistent drive on academic attainment.

Key criteria of success for this position - 

Must have experience of teaching Computer Science  at a secondary level (ideally up to GCSE)
Must have knowledge of Python and Scratch (and C# preferably)
Experience of working within a secondary school on a long-term basis
Good Classroom Management
Ability to quickly develop rapport with students and colleagues
