Teacher of Computer Science – Permanent Role – Reed Education
To commence Easter 2021 onwards - Fixed term until 31 August 2021
This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and outstanding Computer Science teacher who is passionate about enhancing the life chances of this schools students. You will be an integral part of the Computer Science team and will be able to demonstrate a proven record of accomplishment of success, particularly at Key Stages 4 and 5. The ability to teach level 2 iMedia and A-Level Computer Science is essential.
The Computer Science Department has a proven record of accomplishment of fantastic exam success and the pupils recognise the excellent reputation of the subject.
At Key Stage 3 students are taught a broad curriculum which consists of Computer Science, computational thinking and digital literacy. Students in years 7, 8 and 9 are taught in mixed ability groups and have a one-hour lesson per week.
At Key Stage 4 students can choose to study the OCR GCSE Computer Science or OCR iMedia as a vocational option. In the Sixth Form, they now offer the new AQA A-Level Computer Science course. Their courses in the department are popular and they expect this to continue over the coming years.
