We have a new role for enthusiastic outreach support workers in Beckton. Our client has Autism, displays challenging behaviour and needs support accessing the community.
He enjoys bowling, games, listening to music, going for walks, going to the park, cycling and visiting cafes. When accessing the community he needs to be supervised especially when on public transport or at traffic lights. His support workers must keep an eye out for triggers for his challenging behaviour.
You will need to have 6 months’ care experience working with a range of clients.
This will be a temporary position paying £10.75 per hour and you will also accrue paid annual leave. Weekday and weekend hours available and shifts are available. Hours are 10.00 - 15.00.
No medication or personal care required.
Main Duties and Key Responsibilities:
- Lone working
- Helping the client to become independent
- Keeping detailed daily records and reporting incidents immediately
- Engaging the client in activities in the community, such as cycling
- Inspiring and encouraging clients to engage in all aspects of daily living
