I am currently working with a really unqiue Not-for-profit organsiation based in Chelmsford, Essex, who are really making a significant differnce to people's lives.

They are currently recruiting for a communications officer to join their marketing team in order to support the delivery of effective and engaging communciations both internally and externally to members.

Your key duties will include:-

• Track, maintain and take day to day responsibility for the agreed Communications plan ensuring all comms activities are completed in a quality timely manner
• Generate content for all communication channels Support the promotion of the brand to both internal and external audiences in line with corporate objectives, and across all communication channels
• Support the organisation of internal and external events, including sending invites, researching venues, tracking attendees and supporting with the publicity via agreed social media and website messaging
• Maintain the press contacts database, taking the initiative to check details regularly and updating accordingly
• Monitor local and national press relevant to the charity and maintain a file on press which name check the charity
• Support with the creative and editorial content generation and production of communications collateral. This includes formatting of art work and adverts, as well as general presentation and layout ensuring they are compliant with brand guidelines, as well as leading on liaison with printers, designers and production companies to source competitive quotes and meet deadlines
• Source and oversee the production of accessible materials e.g. Easy Read, Braille, liaising with external providers as necessary
• Produce regular statistical/analysis reports on communications activity in line with agreed requirements
• Assist the CEO Office and Central Services Manager to implement the charities communications and membership strategy, ensuring agreed deadlines are met
• Assist in undertaking discrete market research projects with the charities membership and service users

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a communications related role or environment, with previous experience of web content management.  You will be well versed in digital and social media chanels and have experience of producing high quality copy.
