A highly respected charity is currently recruiting for the position of ‘Communications Assistant’ at their head office in London. They are actively engaged with the community, focus on human relationships and family, and provide care and support for families across England and Wales. The role is a part time position of 22.5 hours per week (negotiable work patterns) and will include promoting the work of the charity to a range of audience from potential donors or volunteers to people in high positions of power.

You will:
- Provide flexible administrative support to the Communications Manager
- Assist in maintaining the website, uploading new content, and drafting copies for the web, e-news, and social media platforms
- Co-ordinate the print and delivery of communications materials, liaise with suppliers, and ensure invoices are properly coded and recorded
- Assist as required in providing a first line response to media requests
- Provide essential proof-reading support across a range of materials
- Organise the distribution and storage of company publications

You will have experience in:

- Writing and/or editing copy for print and web for a range of audiences
- Using social media and CRM databases
- IT programmes such as MS Office, PDF editing, and Outlook
- Working both independently and as part of a team
- Working with a wide range of people and having excellent interpersonal skills
- A qualification in a communications, marketing, or PR related subject would be desirable
