One of London’s best private hospitals is looking for a Commis Chef to join their team.

Your main responsibility will be to perform basic food preparation tasks, ensuring work is to the highest standards. You will work a 37.5 hour week (shifts 6am-2pm & 1pm-9pm, covering 7 days a week), giving you a good work-life balance.

Other responsibilities will include following the food production sheet and preparing items as required, working under supervision in preparing more complex items, assisting senior chefs in the serving of hot foods, working in a tidy and professional manner, maintaining high standards of kitchen and personal hygiene, being polite and courteous to staff and colleagues and assisting senior chefs in duties as requested.

Desirably, the successful candidate will have NVQ level 2 in catering and/or hospitality, previous kitchen experience gained within a hotel/hospitality environment and an understanding of basic food safety/hygiene regulations. You must have excellent communication skills, good food presentation skills and be able to work under pressure as part of a team.
