My client based in Purley are a progressive commercial insurance brokerage with an expertise in motor trade and taxi. Currently the commercial insurance division accounts for £3m GWP and handles all business outside of our niche product lines (motor trade road risk, taxi and bicycle). The commercial insurance division typically arranges packages, commercial combined, property owners, liability, motor fleet and larger motor trade combined policies.

Job Summary:
To deal with quotations generated by the marketing department, Online Lead Generation sites,
taking details, auditing client’s acceptability, pricing and closing the sale. You are expected to act as
part of the team and as such your role may occasionally be altered to help others complete their

• Previous experience in new business sales of Motor Fleet and Construction / Contractors insurances
• Previous Phone based / desk sales
• Ability to recognise opportunities and be able to sell
• Sales desire and work ethic to show a consistent sales performance
• Good oral communication skills and organisation skills
• Ability to communicate with both customers and colleagues at all levels of seniority and liaise effectively with other internal departments and external insurers.
• Confidence to deal with difficult situations and to know when appropriate to seek guidance from your Team Leader.
• Good team working skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proven desire to update product knowledge and skill set when required.
• Awareness of the Data Protection Act.
• Maintain professionalism
• Provide quotations and sell policies to clients
• Assist the team in completing objectives including monthly sales targets
• Day to day account handling and administration
• Ability to deal with Target driven New Business Sales
• Able to demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic, committed and flexible attitude towards customers and other team members, recognising the importance and benefits of effective team working.
