The company are a specialist contractor, they work in a specialist field, with key clients, the work can be small works maintenance works from £5k up to larger projects valued at £3 million. They work across the whole of the UK. Over the years they have experienced gradual growth and are now at the stage where they are looking for key appointments to take the company to the next level.

As a Commercial Manager, you'll be overseeing day-to-day operations and focusing on the long-term interests of the business. Overseeing Procurement and Cost management of projects, putting together bids for new work and negotiating and agreeing contracts & matters that relate to the company operations. Playing an important role in the senior management team.

The Commercial Manager would be expected to be educated to degree level. This position would be suited to a Commercial Manager, Senior QS or Estimator that has either progressed into a Commercial Management role or has a lot of experience in this area. Ideally the person would have worked in many areas of construction.

This is a brand new position the company are looking for a people person, someone who will fit well with a tight knit team, but also be able to demonstrate the required authority to change work processes which will help the division move forward.
The role will be primarily office based but will involve travel to clients and sites on occasion.
