My client is a worldwide precision engineering manufacturing company with interests in a variety of different markets which includes agriculture, mining, processing, marine, rotating machinery and much of the heavy industrial sector. With manufacturing sites covering 5 continents this is a truly global organisation.
In line with the company’s current expansion the company is seeking a number of CNC machine cell operators for the company’s manufacturing site in Bedfordshire.
Initially working on days (although shift work may be available at a later date) the role will be to run one of the company’s CNC turning centres producing component parts for the company’s products in a range of materials. You will be setting and operating these machines utilising FANUC controls, using gauges and measuring equipment to check components for quality and accuracy as well as tool changes and other duties.
Components can be of a range of scales from small precision pieces to large heavy components and may require specialist lifting equipment to handle the components on and off the machine tool. If you have issues with lifting objects of 10kg on a regular basis please let me know.
The company will give specific machine training however please note that this may be in one of their other sites and this may require overnights stays during the week until this is complete.
To be considered you must demonstrate:
• Experience in the operation of CNC Machine tools, predominantly turning centres with Fanuc controls
• The ability to understand and work to engineering drawings
• Proven ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure
• Flexibility with regards to work patterns
• Ability to lift up to 10kg on a regular basis
Due to government restrictions this role will not start until June 2020 although the company is actively reviewing CVs and may carry out interviews by skype in the interim.
In return the company offers a generous basic salary and benefits package commensurate with an organisation of this size and stature.
Please apply with a current CV and cover letter explaining why you should be considered for the post. I look forward to hearing from you.
