Working with a Nottinghamshire based Manufacturing company who have wider international ties, REED’s Midlands Engineering Team are currently looking for CNC Machinists to join a growing workforce producing parts for the Aerospace, Energy and Oil and Gas industries.

Based in Nottinghamshire, this company have a great history of developing staff and promoting from within, with many of their senior staff having progressed through the company to their current roles.


The Role.

Working predominantly on CNC Lathes with Fanuc controls, the machinist will be responsible for Setting and Operating the machines to produce precision parts for a variety of industries.

The role will also involve inspection of parts, so you should be familiar with a range in inspection equipment.

You will have to work towards to Production Targets and be wary of any issues that could slow down Production, informing senior members of staff of any issues including machinery faults.

Whilst undertaking your role, you must adhere to the company’s H&S regulations and work towards accreditations and standards the company must comply with.


The Person.

What’s key for this role is the ability to work with Fanuc controlled machines. You will have experience of this and be confident with CNC machines. For this role, the work will be performed on CNC Lathes.

You will also have the ability to use handheld measuring equipment plus experience with CMM machines and shadowgraphs will be ideal. You will not have to program these, but will be inspecting parts with these machines.

You will be working towards targets and KPIs, individually and as part of a team, so you should be someone who can work both independently and collaboratively to achieve department goals, contributing to Continuous Improvement activities when possible.
