The Company
With almost 40 years' experience within the precision engineering field and boasting a client base that would be the envy of many manufacturing companies, my client develops, manufactures, tests and assembles a huge range of complex components for the power generation, defence, nuclear and aerospace industries.

Due to continued growth they are now looking to bolster their existing Inspection Team with an additional CMM Inspector for their modern and well-equipped East Midlands operation.

The Role
 As a CMM Inspector you'll be inspecting manufactured components and assemblies using cutting edge technology and by calling on First Principle Techniques.

Key areas of responsibility include:
- Carrying out 'first off', stage  and final inspection of detailed parts and assemblies
- Utilising typical manual measuring tools (Vernier, Caliper etc.)
- Using CMM to provide detailed measurements within micron tolerances
- An ability to calibrate machinery within established parameters
- Interrogating data that you've collected by the above, to identify and highlight the component status with regards accuracy and quality
- Visually checking products
- Providing reports on inspections and ensuring these are available to the Quality and Inspection teams



The Person

In order to be considered for this CMM Inspector role, it is anticipated that you;
- Will come from a high precision engineering background
- Will have undertaken official training on CMM (ideally Mitutoyo, ITP or similar)
- Are able to carry out CMM inspections, along with manual and visual inspection
- Are capable of interpreting the data you have gained and be able to sentence parts 
- Will carry a solid understanding of First Principle Measurements

It would be advantageous if you also carried:
- Aerospace or similar high precision experience
- Experience of working to Rolls Royce processes and standards
- Experience of MCOSMOS or AXEL software
- Experience of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma
