An exciting opportunity has arisen for a UK leading manafacturing company in Croydon!
My client is looking immedately for a Chemical Sales and Administator- Part-time - to join.

Your role will be to maintain and improve the customer base and profitability of our existing clients and the generation of new clients through daily calls to existing and the generation of new clients.

Provide support to Business Development Managers and Chemical Sales Supervisor in administrative areas such as order processing, customer quotes, sales information management.



• With the use of an in house computer system that has a prompt facility you will contact by phone/email/e-commerce all existing clients on a regular basis.

• Contact former customers and known wash sites with a view to selling company chemicals.

• Send out letters/mailshots to prospective customers to gain trade.

• Maintain and update quality of customer sales database.

• Maintain and update external databases.

• Answer incoming calls promptly according to company procedure.

• Deal with incoming enquiries/orders by phone and e-mail.

• Loading of sales orders onto company order processing system and issue of orders to appropriate suppliers.

• Liaising with suppliers to ensure the smooth delivery of orders and deal promptly with any queries, in line with customer’s expectations.

• Liaise with the Accounts Department to verify if orders can be placed for chemical customer accounts that are on stop and to work with the customer to reduce slow payments.

• Report daily on customer feedback regarding potential sales opportunities and current market offers in regards of vehicle wash sales, for example, local promotions.

• Liaise with installations to identify new sites/prospective business.

• Carry out ‘Customer Satisfaction Questionnaires’ post equipment installation, note comments and liaise with Quality Manager.

• Send out safety data sheets with all new orders.

• Support the marketing of all product ranges with marketing campaigns/ideas.

• To carry out general administrative duties in respect of the Company operations.

• Communicate effectively with all colleagues to ensure that work is being carried out efficiently and in a timely manner.

• To adhere to all health and safety and ISO procedures as outlined in the Company’s procedures.

• This list is not exhaustive and you may be required to carry out additional duties as and when instructed by the Management of the Company.

Duties Withheld:

• Loading of chemical product information and prices onto company database.

• Customer contract negotiation.





PERSON/JOB EXPERIENCE SPECIFICATION:

Essential:

• Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
• Able to communicate within a team environment at all levels of the business, including internal and external customer/suppliers.
• Prior telesales/sales experience from both a cold calling basis as well as an existing client base.
• A positive approach to learning and meeting customer needs.
• Experience of inputting data accurately and evaluate this accordingly.
• Demonstrate customer service ethics.

• Used to working in an environment that involves multi-tasking and prioritisation of tasks to deliver customer service.

• Knowledge of Microsoft applications at a basis level.

• Have experience of an IT based call logging system.

• Ability to work on their own and within a team.

Desirable:
• Knowledge of working with Microsoft applications up to an intermediate level.

Hours: 
Monday- Thursday  ( 24 hours per week, 6 per day )
8.30-2.30pm or 9.30-3pm
Commission: 1% on new business sales paid on a monthly basis in arrears
plus further commissions on monthly targets and year end targets.
