Your main responsibility will be to prepare and cook to a complex and advance level and provide a high quality of food service for patients, visitors, consultants and staff. You will work a 37.5 hour week (shifts 6am-2pm & 1pm-9pm, covering 7 days a week), giving you a good work-life balance.
Other responsibilities will include dealing with ad hoc requests, daily staffing issues, equipment failure and communicating with the kitchen team and catering assistants.
The successful candidate must have previous experience of delivering excellent customer service, a good understanding of Health and Safety principles and basic food hygiene regulations and practice (NVQ Food Hygiene Level 1 and 2). You must have excellent communication skills, good food presentation skills and be able to work under pressure as part of a team.
