 NHS Key Worker - Catering Assistant (Bank)
Due to the current demand and increased need for key workers in the NHS, we are currently recruiting Catering Assistants, to join Imperial College Healthcare Trust’s hardworking and dedicated team at St Mary’s Hospital, in London. These are casual positions and you will be employed directly by the trust. Previous experience is ideal but not necessary as full training and support will be provided.

Pay Rate: £12.04 per hour
Location: St Mary’s Hospital
Hours of work: Varying shifts available, over 7 days in line with a rota system
The Role:
You will be employed directly by Imperial College Healthcare Trust, and will be responsible for providing nutritious meals to aid the recovery of our patients, whilst promoting the trust’s core values.
Duties will include:
• Preparing, cooking and serving meals, using a range of different equipment
• Assisting with the daily preparation of ward trolleys
• Delivering meals and provisions to ward areas when required
• Working in different areas of the hospital including wards and general food areas
• Assist with stocktaking, rotation of stock and disposal of out of date food
About you:
• Must have basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Be able to work as part of a team and have the ability to prioritise tasks where necessary
• Will be dedicated to promoting the trusts core values – as shown below
• Understand the importance of hygiene and basic health and safety
