 Support Worker for Adults with Learning Disabilities (6 months+ experience needed)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a night support worker in Leeds. If you are a friendly, engaging individual, with a passion for working in a person-centred way in order to empower individuals to lead full and active lives as independently as possible, then we need you!

You would be working with our client, an expert care provider whose values emphasise working in partnership with service users, families and fellow staff members in order to ensure that the adult is assisted to live comfortably within their own home - with services based around their individual need.
What we are looking for:
- Someone with 6 months experience working in a Support Worker capacity
- A motivated, hardworking and compassionate person with a desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives
Your main duties will include:
- Providing personal care for Adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism, and supporting them with day-to-day tasks, including offering physical and emotional support
- Promoting independent living skills and ensuring the adults retain their independence by encouraging choice and maintaining dignity
- Deliver housing-related support, utilising a person-centred approach which is tailored to the individuals needs and desires
- Maintaining a safe environment through the utilisation of support plans and person-centred risk assessments
- Respecting confidentiality and remaining within the appropriate information sharing protocol, ensuring you are aware of the appropriate policies and procedures
- Valuing the adults’ wellbeing and following all safeguarding policies and procedures
- Supporting individuals in your care when out in the community
- Administering medication as needed
- Attending and actively participating in meetings, training and supervision as required
