Cancer Data Manager
The purpose of the post is to provide analytical and data quality audit support to the corporate cancer performance team. The post holder will ensure that timely, relevant and accurate information is available to the team’s senior management and that centralised returns and internal reports (e.g. divisional scorecards, Standard Operating Model returns) are collated and submitted on time.
The corporate cancer performance team set high standards for themselves and their staff and the post holder will need to be able to respond effectively to the pressure that goes with leading such a large organisation. This role will mainly entail unsupervised working and use of initiative. The post holder will be fully conversant with patient activity, waiting list, peer review, workforce, and financial data – including its relevance and inter relationships.
- Provision of accurate, relevant and timely performance information to senior staff
- Development of robust processes to support cancer peer review, cancer strategy development, populate scorecards, return statutory information report
- Excellent relationships with key information stakeholders across Trust
- Improved understand of poorly performing areas enabling improved performance.
