Whats my role?


To provide administrative and clerical support to the EHC (Education, Health and Care) Team and to respond in a appropriate and efficient manner when dealing with any request. You will need to ensure that legislative and policy requirements are met and procedures are administered within statutory timescales prescribed in the Government’s Code of Practice to support the Council’s Performance Indicators.

How would I do this?

• Advise schools of the Annual Review procedures and timescales

• carefully scrutinising annual review paperwork, maintaining an accurate database, issuing Amendment Notices and Final Amended Statements / EHC Plans and responding to enquires as required.

• Maintain the Authority’s information management systems to a high standard, inputting information, initiating standard reports etc.

• Provide effective customer care by developing and maintaining constructive working relationships with local authority colleagues and external agencies, parents and others in order to facilitate the effective delivery of the assessment and monitoring procedures.

• Ensure that all office principles and practices are undertaken in a manner that efficiently supports the service, e.g. photocopying, ordering materials/equipment, sending faxes, postal duties, filing etc. Prepare and send out standard letters and straightforward responses to written and /or verbal correspondence and ensure that these are accurate, comprehensive and fluent.
