Please note that this job is temporary and would require occasional travel to different Council Offices (paid). Main location will be West Bridgford but occasionally in Mansfield.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Business Support Administrator to join the Community Safety team which works collaboratively with partners to ensure that Nottinghamshire is a safe place to live, work and visit.
You would be supporting a number of high level meetings with senior managers in Nottinghamshire County Council and partners including district councils, Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, Nottinghamshire Police and Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue among others.
Tasks would include preparing and circulating papers for approximately 30 meetings a year, taking minutes and taking on duties relating to work streams coming out of the meetings.
The role also includes assisting with the monitoring of budgets for a number of funding streams, submitting quarterly claims for project funding, raising sales orders and chasing outstanding payments, paying invoices and maintaining accurate records of income and expenditure.
The successful applicant will be expected to travel to attend meetings across the County and work from County Hall in West Bridgford, Nottingham as well as County House in Mansfield as the need arises.

To undertake high level complex business support processes including complex or sensitive reports and correspondence, monitoring and reconciling large budgets, producing complex financial reports and statements as requested by the business.
To be an authoritative source of advice and guidance, both for customers and colleagues on services, policies and processes including complex queries.
To create, manage and manipulate information whether relating to finance, staffing information, customers or any other service requirement or eligibility criteria, this will include producing bespoke and complex reports.
Develop systems and processes to meet operational needs and to ensure the high quality of information held.
To undertake a full range of financial management processes, including processing orders, resolving issues, budget monitoring, reconciling accounts and handling cash.
Responsible for the organisation of meetings and events including booking venues, issuing invitations and papers and take minutes.
To support business support colleagues including demonstrating duties and day to day task supervision.
Education and Knowledge:
Good literacy and numeracy skills to NVQ 3 level or equivalent.
