The OU is looking to recruit an experienced Business Manager to work within Student Services.

To generate and use business and management information to support financial and strategic planning in the Unit.

Experience of designing and developing management information measures and KPIs and utilising performance reporting and management systems, tools and processes (e.g. business performance reports, presentations, dashboards, scorecards).

Experience of resource management and the ability to collate, analyse, interpret and report on financial information for a variety of audiences.

Excellent information management skills including the ability to gather, analyse, interpret and present qualitative and quantitative information from a wide variety of sources effectively.

Ability to think strategically and to identify implications for the management of the Unit’s business performance.

Excellent communication skills, including the ability to persuade and influence others, and interpret and convey complex information effectively in written, numerical and oral form.

The ability to work across complex organisational structures and functions at a Senior level.

Ability to ask challenging questions in order to aid wider understanding of the Unit’s business and available management information.
