What will you do - 

In recruitment you will undertake a wide range of business to business sales activites, such as - 

• Phoning through contacts on the client database to ensure we have identified the most appropriate contacts for business development.
• Marketing Reed candidates and Reed marketing materials to our clients via phone and emails
• Arranging to meet with clients to gain a clear understanding of their business and their requirements.
• Taking job briefs and advertising jobs on reed.co.uk.
• Screening, reviewing, rejecting and registering applicants and new registered candidates.
• Preparing CVs for send out to clients in Reed Format.
• Arranging Interviews, taking feedback and handling offers of employment.
• Converting clients who do not use Reed to give our services a chance to prove our levels of service.
• Negotiating rates and terms with clients for each position registered with us.



Who I are looking for - 

My team is focused and hardworking. They strive, collectively, to achieve set KPIS and meeting expected revenue targets.   You will need to be equally hard working and focused.

As this is a business to business sales role you will need to be a confident and clear communicator, have excellent verbal and written communications and a willingness to engage readily with clients and candidates to whom you will not have spoken to before. 

You will need to be completely open to training, and be prepared to get on the phones to identify client needs from day one. 

A background in sales can really help but is not essential.  People come to recruitment from various backgrounds - catering, education, estate agency, advertising amongst many others.  Graduates tend to do very well.  All I really ask is that you know yourself quite well in terms of what kind of business person you are, and that you have a genuine desire to get on and make yourself a success!



Hours of work are either 8:30am to 5:30pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday.  Annual leave is 25 days per year plus bank holiday.
