Working for a dynamic insurance company based in Bristol that specialises in business insurance.
The Business Development Executive role has two primary functions: lead generation and account management.
Lead generation will be the major part of the role with assigned targets and tasks. A general week will look like this:
• 1 administration day working from either Southampton or Bristol Office, producing reports, creating visit plans and prospecting potential clients.
• 3 days spent visiting existing accounts to deliver materials and to build rapport with management and employees.
• 1 day spent prospecting – visiting potential clients or attending prospect meetings
• Attend industry events, meet potential clients and generate leads through face-to-face networking, meetings at trade shows/conferences and via call and email.
• Utilise and be familiar with networking tools and sites such as Linkedin.
• Coordinate the design and print of sales collateral and supporting materials (media packs, leaflets etc).
This role requires an outgoing, high energy, self-motivated personality, someone who enjoys meeting new people. It's an ideal role for someone looking to start a career in field sales and gain experience in business development. Due to working remotely, you will need to be comfortable working outside of an office setting and be able to communicate and report in to your manager(s) via phone and email. The job involves a lot of travelling and you will also be required to work away for sometimes 2 or 3 days in a row. You will need to be organised as your diary and visit planning is self-managed.
• Previous sales experience (insurance industry desirable but not essential)
• Client facing experience
• Able to work from home from time to time
• Ideally living in midlands, South West or South East
Salary & Package
• £18,000 - £20,000 per annum
• Uncapped Bonus (OTE of an additional £12,000 per annum)
