I am currently recruiting exclusively for one of my key clients, an industry-leading IT firm based in Newcastle city centre, who are looking for an exceptional Business Development Executive to join their team.

As a Business Development Executive, you will be primarily responsible for identifying and generating new business leads through effective cold calling, and securing qualified appointments for the Business Development Manager.

The position is full-time and permanent, with a basic salary of £18,000 - £22,000 and a competitive commission structure on top.

Main responsibilities:

-Making initial contact with potential clients and generating new business leads
-Identifying new sales and product marketing opportunities
-Advising customers on IT services and solutions and the benefits of using my client
-Arranging qualified appointments on behalf of the Business Development Manager
-Account Management of prospective and exisiting customers
-Follow-up calls
-Maintaining a CRM system and developing a successful client pipeline

Candidate requirements:

-Previous outbound B2B sales experience is essential
-You must be sales-focused and results-driven
-Ability to communicate with people at all levels within a company, including key decision makers and senior management
-Experience in selling solutions and services
-Ability to handle objections and sell in the right solution
-Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
-Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office packages
-Experience of selling software products and services would be an advantage
-Knowledge of the IT sector is essential
