A leading training provider based in East London are seeking a Business Development & Funding Manager to join their team in the New Year. Due to the nature of the role only candidates with relevant experience can be considered. 

Benefits include company phone, laptop, 20 days holiday + BH, and company pension.

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Identifying new sales leads
  • Pitching products and/or services
  • Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers
  • Implementing new funding streams
  • Researching organisations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets
  • Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing
  • Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings
  • Planning and overseeing innovative marketing initiatives
  • Administering compliance
  • Developing Training Courses and supporting tutors
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry event
  • Thorough communication and working relations with other divisions within the organisation to add maximum value to customer service
  • Selling the company’s products and services
  • Offering a high level of customer service in a timely and efficient manner
  • Setting and observing sales targets
  • Territory mapping & Identifying clients training needs throughout the UK
  • Possess experience in ensuring a high level of compliance
  • Lead company assurance visits internal and external
  • Obtaining and increasing company accreditations
  • Implementing and securing public funds for further education
  • Implement apprenticeship programmes and work with governing bodies to ensure a high level of compliance
  • Implementation of different products and services within the Group
  • Company portfolio (reports, tender documents, Quality improvement Plan, Self-assessment Reports, KPI’s & SPI’s)
  • Will require to submit weekly reports on activities completed to senior management

 

Expectations Include:

To be a potential candidate for the interview, you must have the following:

  • Degree qualified in Business Management, Sales or Maths (Experience may be considered)
  • Demonstrated experience of UK Funding (ESL, EFA, OLASS, Advanced Learner Loan, Apprenticeships)
  • Previous customer service and sales experience
  • Able to tackle challenges and have divergent thinking
  • Able to adapt and comply with other team members
  • Able to deal with multiple clients effectively in a professional manner
  • Punctual and self-motivated
  • Key knowledge of the organisation with secondary research of the industry
  • Knowledge of targeting client groups through the use of social media
  • Determined, ambitious and trustworthy are key elements
  • Have a UK driving license
  • Be flexible to travel around the country as and when required
