My client, based in the Camberley area is seeking an experienced, self-motivated and energetic Business Finance analyst to join their business to support further expansion and acquisition of a large FMCG global franchise.

As Business Finance Analyst, you will provide support to the CFO and key stakeholders across the business through providing commercial insights to enable the business to make key decisions.

Your key relationships will include:
• Head of Finance
• Managing directors across 5 entities
• HR Director
• IT Director
• CFO
• Marketing Director

In this role you are accountable for:
Brilliant basics (technical and operational)
• Set up and manage optimal weekly business reporting to monitor business performance from identified KPIs
• Ensure all analytical needs and reporting requirements of the business are met
• Scrutinise and test data to insure data quality
• Evaluate performance against forecast, budget and prior years
• Produce and distribute daily, weekly and monthly sales, margin and profit information to key stakeholders in the business
• Preparation of financial data for business review meetings
• Ongoing review and implementation of quarterly forecast updates
• Monitor and report on brand sales performance
• Prepare the month end variance analysis in conjunction with month end timetable
• Ad hoc analyses when required
• Evaluate and provide impact of sales/profit driving initiatives
• Review competitive sales/profit driving campaigns to determine opportunities
• Develop effective data models to project and measure marketing campaigns
• Analyse impact of sales driving campaigns/initiatives and determine whether targeted results were achieved
• Interpret metrics and results to provide management with insight to understand indicators of success
• Issue regular and ad hoc reports to senior management and brand management
• Provide financial representation for brand specific initiatives
• Daily Ad Hoc Analyses and Other duties as required

Great team work (colleagues):
• Work closely with brand MD’s to ensure control of costs and accurate reporting
• Assist management accounts team with the production of timely accurate management accounts
• Work with cross functional teams to create compelling business cases that support business plans and initiatives
• Work with team and management on report content to ensure information meets needs of business

Sales and profit:

• Complete investment appraisal models for new sites/ventures


The skills, qualifications and experience you will have:
• 2-4 years’ experience in financial/sales/marketing analysis
• Strong communication skills; including presentations to senior management
• Highly proficient with Microsoft applications, including Power point and Excel
• Ability to perform analysis of profit and loss statements, food and labour cost modelling, profitability and risk assessment and ROI modelling
• Have the ability to compile sound business recommendations
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to research, reconcile, and arrive at conclusions
• Time management skills in order to prioritise and manage deadlines
• Excellent verbal, written communications and presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude, team player
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Commercial finance experience/exposure to the commercial side of a business
• Expert in Microsoft Office package, advanced in Excel and PowerPoint
• Analytical and process driven
• Able to produce concise, clear reports and presentations that conclude with well thought out conclusions and recommendations supported by digital and business data
• Experience of a range of business analytics tools and methodologies
• Ability to challenge and persuade stakeholders
• Ability to identify continuous ways to improve the way data is both managed and analysed across brands
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in fast pace environment
• Organised and detail-oriented
• Experience dealing with senior management
