Job Purpose

The Business Analyst’s primary role will be to assist the Support Services Director with analysis of business activities, providing recommendations for improvement. They will also be required to create and maintain project plans for delivery. They will maintain a strong link with managers across the business, keeping them informed on changes and progress against the project plan.

 

Key Objectives and Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support for one or more complex projects from initiation through to delivery

• Undertake in depth financial analysis, using spreadsheet modelling, to support decision making

• Working with the business, identify their outline requirements in relation to business and systems process improvement, and capture those requirements using appropriate documentation • Work closely with the business communities to assess impacts and define user requirements and ensure appropriate sponsorship and buy in for agreed changes

• Provide recommendations for resolving complex business problems

• Ability to create and present business cases • Provide detailed scenario / sensitivity analysis • The post holder must be an ambassador for change and positively promote the benefits of business analysis and process change Knowledge & Experience Essential

• Strong project management, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Strong commercial awareness of the overall functions of the businesses

• Ability to independently explore and assess opportunities for improvement

• Apply critical thinking utilising analysis tools and techniques to assess processes and identify recommendations for improvement

• Ability to work at both high and granular levels of detail

• Ability to work with large Data volumes, identifying and resolving gaps • Appreciates the impact of change in organisations and can implement positive change programmes

 

- 6 Month Contract
