My market leading client based in Appleton, Warrington are currently looking to recruit an experienced data analyst / business analyst on a temporary basis to cover a period of absence in the business. My client is looking for a candidate who is available immediately and ideally the successful candidate will start no later than Monday 09/10/17.

Working full time for a period of one month with the potential of the assignment being extended the hourly rate will be based on a salary of between £20,000 and £22,000 per annum.

Hours of Work: Full Time (37.5 hours per week- 1 hour lunch break) 9am-5.30pm or 8.30am-5.00pm.

Summary of Role

Reporting to and working under the direction of the Business Analyst & Excellence Manager, the Business Analyst will be responsible for producing internal and external reports, investigative analysis, customer billing and pricing.

Principle Accountabilities

• To produce various internal business reports including Key Performance Indicators, recovery and metric trackers, as well as customer facing reports for publication at all levels within both organisations.
• To support the invoice generation process with the end customer, preparing and delivering accurate summary documents, detailed backing data and customer-facing analysis related to all transactions billed to the customer.
• To develop an excellent understanding of the customer’s business model, ensuring that excellent customer service is provided within a framework of financial clarity and control.
• To build an intimate knowledge of the Business Unit’s customer billing, providing analysis and trend data to the Business Unit Director upon request.
• To build and maintain an expert level knowledge of the current financial models within the Business Unit to enable process and efficiency improvements to the benefit of both my client and the customer.
• Will work closely with the IT department to rationalise, improve and (wherever possible) automate all financial reporting for the Business Unit.
• Drive the investigation of anomalous financial trends and seek closure on all issues identified, often working independently of direct supervision.
• Recognise that the customer’s perception of my client is largely based on the quality, timeliness and confidence with which Business Unit data is presented to them.

Person Specification

• Proven strong analytical skills
• Capable of dealing with a high volume workload.
• Strong Excel skills; ability to use V-Lookups and Pivot Tables.
• Ability to challenge existing processes/procedures with a view to implementing improvements & streamlining existing procedures.

Desirable Experience and Competencies

• Financial Experience
• Business Intelligence Software skills i.e. Business Objects, Tableau.
• Experience and knowledge of reverse logistics.
