I am looking to appoint to the post of Bus Stop Disruption Coordinator responsible for coordinating the response to disruption. This could be based on a 3 month rolling contract but is likely to be limited to 12 months.

In summary their responsibilities would include:

· Review of reports (street works notifications) to identify any impact to bus stops
· Use of a decision making matrix to assess level of impact to bus stops and determine an appropriate response to minimise disruption to bus services
· Coordinating responses with relevant works promotor and negotiating best outcome to minimise disruption to bus services
· Communicating disruption information directly to bus operators and onto our real time information displays
· Where required and not offered by works promotor, arranging for temporary bus stop infrastructure and information to be installed at bus stops.

Specification

Essential
1. Extensive experience of verbal and written communication with colleagues and customers
2. Extensive experience of using IT systems (including Outlook for emails and calendar, Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, and file management)
3. Evidence of an aptitude to pick up new IT programs (GIS mapping software will be extensively used)
4. A full UK driving licence
5. Good geographical knowledge of Nottinghamshire
6. A full UK driving licence
7. Understanding of a customer centred service delivery
8. Works efficiently and effectively and actively looks for ways of improving services and outcomes for customers
9. Works well with colleagues but also able to work on their own initiative
10. Shares the Council’s commitment to providing a safe environment for customers and staff and treating all with respect and consideration.

Desirable
1. Experience travelling as a passenger on public transport
2. Knowledge of issues related to the provision of Public Transport information and its associated infrastructure.

The role will be largely process driven and I have attached a process chart identifying the steps contained within the role.
