Established business based on the outskirts of Horsham see a Bookkeeper/Accounts Administrator to join their small finance team.  This role is primarily to take all the estate’s books to trial balance, currently this includes 2 limited companies and 3 sole traders, split over 8 sets of data. Key tasks involved in this are to file the quarterly VAT returns, process monthly payroll and supplier payments. All aspects of the role are covered by one person.

The successful applicant will need to have experience of maintaining records for both limited companies and sole traders and have the ability to work alone under their own initiative. They will need to be professional, motivated and organised and ideally have experience using Key Prime accounting software, strong IT skills including Microsoft office are also essential.

The estate continues to evolve with new businesses and enterprises developing constantly, and the applicant needs to be able to adapt with these changes. The main duties of the role are as follows;

• Downloading bank transactions daily and entering receipts onto Key Prime
• Maintaining accurate trade debtors
• Reconciling the bank accounts on a weekly basis.
• Entering purchase invoices on a weekly basis.
• Reconciliation of petty cash accounts.
• Banking money received at the office
• Monthly debtor review
• Review of rent demands
• Processing rent demands
• Recharging utility and other costs to tenants
• Inter-company recharges
• Maintaining accurate trade creditors
• Processing monthly payments and loading into online banking software
• Processing monthly payroll for 20 employees and managing and analysing timesheets
• Processing quarterly VAT returns including partial exemption
• Monthly management reporting
• Other ad-hoc administrative duties
