A wonderful not-for-profit organisation are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to support the bid team. You will be responsible for supporting the operational teams with solution building and pricing. This would be ideal if you are embarking on your career journey into marketing/bids and wish to join an organisation that offers progression and development.

This is a brand new role where you will be responsible for coordinating the new business & retention bids and tenders function. You will be expected to complete bid and tender documentation whilst monitoring the contracts database.

Main Duties:
• Assist in delivering new business and retention targets through effective tendering and bidding
• Proactively identify new opportunities
• Administer e-procurement site registrations, alerts and submissions.
• Track all bid and tender/retender activity and outcomes through an effective electronic recording & analysis system
• Maintain a library of current & accurate corporate information
• Gather and maintain supporting information for inclusion in bids and tenders/retenders to demonstrate experience, effectiveness, ambition and capabilities of the business.
• Assess opportunities through a risk & operational assessment model that links into the Bid Governance Framework.
• Maximise & manage opportunities for dialogue with commissioning bodies throughout negotiation and clarification phases.
• Ensure that post-tender client feedback is obtained & recorded.

Ideally you will have the following skills:

• Excellent personal organisation skills with the ability to manage conflicting tasks and deadlines in a calm and methodical manner
• Able to understand, interpret and implement best practice / regulatory standards and internal governance standards.
• Excellent skills in creative writing and an attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to be persuasive and occasionally influence situations, decisions and people
• Ability to develop and sustain professional relationships and networks
• Ability to see ‘the bigger picture’ and analyse opportunities and challenges with equal clarity
