My client in West London is an established business with an excellent track record and a history going back to the 1960s. The company has continued to trade through the Covid19 crisis and is a stable and profitable organisation offering good future prospects due to current growth they are looking for an ambitious Trainee Assistant Production Manager to join them. Still interested?...
Due to this continued success the company is seeking to grow its team. They are looking for an Assistant Production Manager, helping to run the production part of the business and liaising between the companies UK and European manufacturing sites.
Mentored by the current UK Production Manager this will be a challenging and demanding role where you will learn all the elements of a high volume manufacturing business ranging from supply chain and logistics, to manufacturing which includes scheduled engineering work and personnel, through to liaising with the customer base. This is not a role for the faint hearted as every day you will face new challenges and opportunities.
Ideally you will need to be educated to degree level in an engineering or science subject, with an eye for detail, good administration skills (MS Office suite with Excel is essential) and ideally can demonstrate some knowledge and / or experience within a manufacturing environment. Some exposure to chemical or plastics manufacturing would be a real advantage. The role will test you so you need to be able to demonstrate how you can be flexible in your approach, the company is not looking for someone who is "precious" about job titles or responsibilities (i.e. that's not my job).
In return the company offers you full training and an excellent opportunity to grow an understanding of a fast paced manufacturing environment leading to other career opportunities within the business.
So do you think you have what it takes?
