I am recruiting for an expanding FMCG company based in Kent. Due to growing demand they are expanding and looking for an Assistant Buying Manager. The role is to support the strategic management of commodity purchases (and other goods and services) through effective planning, supplier management and negotiation.
Provide accurate information / data to support the development of the procurement strategy
Negotiate prices for the supply of goods and services ensuring best value for money (Commodities, IT contracts and packaging etc)
Manage and develop supplier relationships and ongoing negotiations
Advice the business on product costs
Monitor stock levels, order progressions and usage to ensure material is available when required
Support storage planning and third party raw material warehousing
You will nee to have demonstrable experience in purchasing, ideally degree educated and studying CIPS
