An established organisation who are experiencing continual growth, the company are an online and shop based retailer who are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their head office in Tunbridge wells.

The Duties you will undertake will include;

Supporting the company accountant and finance director you will be responsible for the following duties;
•Produce accurate and timely data to assist and support the Accountant and Finance Director as well as the Trading Director and to the Business Managers in each of the client’s stores.
•Operate the purchase ledger – including control of supplier invoices, correct allocation and apportionment between businesses, oversee authorization and sign-off through to supplier payments for all sites
•Bank reconciliations for all stores
•Control of stock transfers between sites (including costing and month end reporting)
•Assist with the review and control of the sales ledger (although the stores take responsibility for cash collection, sales ledger administration and credit control) and deal with weekly customer refunds
•Assist with month end reconciliations and reporting
•Assist the Accountant in the control of the nominal ledger – account reconciliations, journals, inter-company transactions and payments.
•Creating excel and word documents.
•Maintaining up to date books and records – including filing and archiving.

The Ideal Candidate will have experience in the following;

•Purchase ledger experience
•Sage 50 experience
•Strong administration & organisation skills.
•Good attention to detail and the ability to keep large amounts of filing under control.
•Team player, committed and passionate towards company goals.
•Strong communicator, clear and confident.
•The ability to manage under pressure and with conflicting demands, and to be able to prioritise tasks.
•The maturity to be self-motivated, solve problems and think through the necessary solutions.
•Fun, enthusiastic and easy going with the ability to fit in with the rest of the team.
•Proactive, 'can do' approach.
•Hardworking and conscientious.
•Customer service focused - so as to assist and support store teams who in turn directly serve very important customers.
