Reed Finance are pleased to be assisting one of Irelands leading utility providers in their recruitment of a Generation Asset Accountant.

Our client has a permanent vacancy for a Generation Asset Accountant reporting to the Finance Manager. A highly motivated, strong self-sufficient individual is required to undertake full responsibility for all financial deliverables associated with two sites.

*Close interaction with the senior management & operational teams located in Dublin will be essential as will cross-departmental interaction throughout the teams based in Belfast. Travel to the Dublin offices is required 2 or 3 times per month.

This position will suit a highly motivated individual who enjoys working within a fast paced team environment and has the capacity to manage a varied workload.

Key Responsibilities;

End to End Responsibility of Monthly Management Accounts and Reporting to Senior   Management to include; P&L prep & analysis, responsibility for the Balance Sheet, fixed asset management & presentation of results to senior management.

Annual Business Planning & Rolling Monthly Forecasts to include; gross margin forecasts, planning & budgetary control, Capital Expenditure Planning.

Audit, Financial Control & Statutory Accounting.

In addition to the core financial activities the individual will be expected to actively participate in the reform project in particular supporting the finance team transition which will require integration of new IT applications, changes in commercial arrangements and a review of appropriate management & risk reporting.

Essential criteria:
Fully qualified accountant;

Experience of managing: people, resources, projects with proven ability & interpersonal skills to work with various teams/stakeholders to achieve common objectives;

Ability to prioritise and manage a varied and significant workload, while consistently delivering results;

Knowledge / experience of contract negotiations and managing complex financial modelling OR significant balancing of data;

Highly experienced in MS Packages including Excel demonstrating experience preparing financial information/analysis used for management reporting;

Experience of SAP and Cognos & knowledge of the utility sector
Previous work in an engineering business within a finance capacity
