Job Title: Assessor/Training in Plumbing and Associated Trades
Location: Essex
Pay Rate: £25,700 to £28,900
Hours: 37 hours per week
Duration: Permanent

Our REED Education FE branch are currently working with a great college on an exciting new role in the Essex area. The college are looking for an outstanding Assessor/Trainer in Plumbing and Associated Trades to join them on a Permanent basis.

Our Clients recent Ofsted inspection which has declared the college as “Good” in every single category. Inspectors also looked separately at Apprenticeship provision courses for Adults, and Study Programmes for the 4,000 full time 16-19-year-old students at the College, and stated that all of these were also “Good”.

The Role:

•To train and assess candidates towards agreed qualifications and prepare high quality learning and teaching materials.
•To, at all times, maintain high expectations of learners work, commitment, and behaviour, taking action to ensure the highest of standards are met.
•To carry out and oversee live practical work or practical projects ensuring high standards of work are maintained at all times.
•To prepare materials and equipment as needed by teaching staff and students in a timely, effective and efficient manner
•To monitor candidate progress including target setting and the carrying out of regular progression reviews.


What you will need:

•Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in plumbing
•Assessor award
•Level 3 Award in Education and Training
•Evidence of C.P.D
•Experience of working within a Further Education setting

Essential Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

•Significant experience of working in industry within a plumbing environment.
•Experience of maintaining tools equipment associated with plumbing.
•Up to date practical welding and fabrication skills
•Knowledge of current safeguarding and equality and diversity practices in FE
