Job Title: Apprenticeships and Skills Advisor 
Location: Croydon, Surrey 
Salary: £24,000 per annum 
Hours: 35 hours per week 
Duration: Permanent

Our REED Education FE branch are currently working with a Great College on an exciting new role in the Surrey area.

Starting immediately, the college are looking for an outstanding  Apprenticeships and Skills Advisor to join them on a permanent basis. 

The College:

With over 8,000 students our client is one of the largest and most successful providers of Further (college) and Higher (university) Education courses in the South East, judged Good at all levels in all areas by external inspections by Ofsted and the Quality Assurance Agency (for Higher Education).

The Role:

· To engage with employers so that you can generate income by achieving Apprenticeship funding, and enrolment targets and grow the College’s customer base. Once engaged with employers to manage these relationships to maximise their lifetime value.
· To assist the Apprenticeship and Employment Manager in ensuring that all organisational targets relating to employer engagement are met.
· To identify potential business customers including Levy paying companies and engage them in workforce development activity.
· To promote qualification and skills training – meeting funding targets.
·To deliver Organisational Needs analysis/training needs analysis to Business Customers.
· To deliver targets within agreed timescales.
· To organise and manage apprenticeship recruitment, selection, assessment and induction of apprentices.

What you will need:

· Degree or professional qualification, at minimum level 3 or above, or equivalent industry experience.
· English and Maths at Level 2 or above.
· Experience of working with the public in a business development, employer engagement or recruitment role.
· Experience in building business relationships to a senior level, including undertaking telephone research, making appointments and giving presentations to potential customers.
· Experience of providing Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to young people or adults.
· Track record of working collaboratively between organisations, businesses and external agencies.
· Familiarity with education initiatives in further education or training, particularly in relation to working with employers.
· Excellent IT Skills
